Overview
How much of your week goes into RFQ replies, quotations, follow-ups and posts about the same products? Copilot Chat is already on your work account, but the datasheet still gets read line by line, and the quote options still get worked out by hand.
This 2-day course runs on your own tasks in Copilot Chat. You brief it with RCR (Role, Context, Request) and 5W1H, settle what customer data can go in, then work from your own files and check what comes back. Day 2 takes on the replies you dread with Reverse Prompting and Meta Prompting. By the end you have one task rebuilt and the prompts that did it.
Who should attend
- Sales executives, account managers and marketing staff in B2B companies
- Managers who sign off quotes, posts and reports
- Participants with some Copilot Chat experience, for companies whose IT allows Copilot
What you will be able to do
- Brief Copilot Chat with RCR and 5W1H so a real sales or marketing task comes back usable.
- Decide what customer, pricing and tender material can go into Copilot Chat, and de-identify the rest.
- Work from your own files in Copilot Chat, check what it finds, and set it up for your job.
- Build prompts for RFQ replies, event invitations and follow-ups with Reverse Prompting and Meta Prompting.
- Turn a datasheet, a price list and a quote log into buyer answers, a post and a report.
- Rebuild one real sales or marketing task end to end, and leave with the prompts that did it.
Course content
Day 1: The buyer and the first draft
- RCR and 5W1H on your own sales or marketing task: map last week's tasks on an Effort and Frequency grid, brief Copilot Chat on a quotation cover email, and tell it what it must never promise.
- What customer and pricing data can go into AI: what the green shield on a work account covers and what it leaves out, rewriting a prompt with placeholders and dummy rows, and sorting everyday cases.
- Advanced Copilot Chat functions and setting it up your way: a datasheet, an RFQ and a price list in one chat, account research with the deeper reasoning mode and its sources opened one by one, and custom instructions for your role and products.
Day 2: Harder prompts, finished work and the rebuild
- RFQ replies and follow-ups that are hard to brief: Reverse Prompting for a reply you cannot brief, Meta Prompting to improve an old trade-show follow-up, and picking the five tasks worth a saved prompt.
- Buyer answers, the product story and the numbers: answering a sample RFQ from its datasheets, writing a LinkedIn post or partner email and adapting it for a newsletter, and checking three figures in a quote log before writing the account review.
- Capstone, rebuilding one task with your prompt library: pick one deal task or campaign task, rebuild it with your saved prompts, handle a last-minute change, and show the room the old way, the new way and the check step.
How it runs
- Hands-on practice with live demonstrations, built around your own sales and marketing tasks.
- Every exercise runs in Copilot Chat in a browser: bring a laptop signed in to your work account with Copilot Basic.
- Sample files are provided, so no real customer, pricing or pipeline data is needed.
- Delivered in person.
